Strong Harbour Strings Collective

What is the SHSC?

The Strong Harbour Strings Collective is a flexible performing ensemble made up of Strong Harbour Strings Teaching Artists and guest performers. As part of the Strong Harbour Strings program, the SHSC strives to perform engaging programs in unexpected venues – bringing exciting classical music and other genres to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it. The 2021/22 SHSC ensemble roster is Carole Bestvater, Maria Cherwick, Daniel Fuchs, and Amy Collyer-Holmes.

The Concert Series

Our Concert Series, beginning in October 2020, will feature the music of Black composers such as Jessie Montgomery, Florence Price and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, music by Polish Composer, Grazyna Bacewicz, and popular music of the 1920’s, among other guest performances and workshops.
